ABOUT THE COURSE:
Commercial Diving Safety Awareness: Beyond the Dive – Training for Safer Diving Operations is a fully online, self-paced E-Learning course designed for professionals who support or oversee commercial diving operations — but may not be divers themselves.
This awareness-level course covers key principles, industry standards, operational risks, and the systems that ensure safety in both surface-supplied and saturation diving.
From understanding IMCA & IOGP guidance, to exploring hyperbaric evacuation systems and real-world incident lessons — this course helps you appreciate what it takes to keep divers safe beneath the surface.
You won’t need dive gear — just curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn how diving operations work, and why safety is non-negotiable at every depth.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
- Understand key safety frameworks (IMCA, IOGP, etc.)
- Identify core roles in a commercial diving team
- Grasp basic diving physics and physiology
- Recognise common diving illnesses and response strategies
- Understand surface-supplied vs. saturation diving
- Explore hyperbaric evacuation systems (HES)
- Learn how diving systems are audited (IMCA DESIGN, DSMS)
- Identify risk controls for SIMOPS, lifting, and ROV operations

ASSESSMENT and CERTIFICATION
Candidates will be assessed through an online examination and have attained a 75% pass grade will be awarded an E-Certificate from KBA Training Centre Pte Ltd .
