Standard First Aid

About This Course

The Standard First Aid with AED (SFA+AED) course equips participants with essential knowledge and practical life-saving skills to respond confidently and effectively during emergency situations.

This course is suitable for individuals across all sectors, including sports, education, workplace safety, community service, and outdoor or high-risk environments. Participants will be trained to assess emergency scenes, recognise life-threatening conditions, perform Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) safely, and provide appropriate first aid care until professional medical help arrives.

 

The course emphasises situational awareness, safe decision-making, and practical hands-on competence, ensuring participants are prepared to manage emergencies involving adults, children, and infants in a wide range of real-world settings.

This programme also fulfils the mandatory first aid requirement for Sport Singapore (SportSG) coaching licence attainment and renewal.

Entry Pre-Requisite

Nil (No prior first aid certification or medical background is required).

Assessment and Certification

Participants must demonstrate competency in both theory and practical components to be deemed competent.

Upon successful completion and passing of all assessments, participants will be awarded a Standard First Aid with AED Certificate with 2-year validity, issued by KBA Training Centre Pte Ltd.
